Skip the Depot – Ongoing Bottle Drive

Woodbine School Parent Association has partnered with Skip the Depot! 

Skip the Depot is a door-to-door bottle/can, electronics, and clothing collection service that makes refundable recycling and supporting our school easier than 1,2,3!

Place your bags outside your house and Woodbine School receives 100% of the funds from your refundable donation.

Mabel’s Labels – Ongoing Fundraiser

We’ve partnered with Mabel’s Labels for an association fundraiser!

20% of purchases made through our association link are returned to the parent association.

Casino Fundraiser 2025

Save the date! It only comes once every two years!

The AGLC Casino is our biggest fundraiser. The last one raised over $70,000 for our school!

Volunteers are needed! One person working one shift helps raise about $2,000 for the school.

Halloween Dance (October)

Our biggest event of the year!

Last year’s dance raised over $1,700 for the school.

Movie Night

Movie night in the gym – future dates to be announced

Annual Enrichment Drive

Once a year we ask the school community for contribution to the school.

100% of proceeds (minus processing fees) go directly to the school.

In the past, the enrichment drive has raised over $7,000 for the benefit of the school.

Donations can be made to the Parent Association. 100% of proceeds are directed by the Parent Association to the benefit of the school.

Where Fundraising Dollars Are Spent

100% of funds raised are directed to the benefit the school.

Recent projects include:

Technology

Since November 2021, the Parent Association has committed over $24,700 to technology in the school! This includes apps, Smart Boards, iPads, charging stations, Ozobots and more. 

Ozobots were one of the recently approved technology purchases.

Equipment

Outdoor / Sports Facilities

$1,155 was spent to repaint the games on the outdoor compound of the school. 

Parent Association spent $424 on new nets for our soccer goal posts – you’ll be able to see them in action this spring! 

Music

Over $650 was committed for recorders for the music program this year.

Curriculum Enhancement

We have committed over $1,720 to literacy resources such as decodable phonics books. 

Experiences

Field Trips

We have committed $5,000 to classroom field trip costs – helping keep costs to families low. 

In-School Experiences

Parent Association has spent over $2,700 on in school experiences – great activities and guests such as Elev8 Lacrosse. 

$900 was spent to bring Indigenous dancers and drummers in school for our students. 

Calm Room & Learning Commons

The Calm Room is really coming together, in part thanks to over $3,400 spent by our Parent Association. 

Over $10,000 has been spent or committed to furniture in the Learning Commons and Calm Room.
